Mordenkainen's Protection from Avians

A creature protected by this spell receives a special benefit when in combat with avians totaling no more than 15 Hit Dice; if more Hit Dice attack, the spell is negated. Affected avians have a -2 penalty on rolls to hit the protected creature for the duration of the spell.

The material component for the spell is a feather from any bird wrapped with a strip of tough leather.
