Sidebar Hedge Wizards This spell temporarily enhances a magical mirror, crystal ball, or other scrying device. The spellcaster then asks the scrying device a question, and the scrying device answers that question by showing an appropriate scene if it is within the area of effect. Typical questions include: “Where did 1 put that book on magical apparatus?” “Who is the most beautiful in the land?” and “Where are the fish biting today?” Note that a scrying device must be in operation at the time the spell is cast. The spell requires a scrying device, which is not consumed by the casting.
